Six New Recipes from Love Your Gut
Did you know the gut is one of the most important organs in the body? It talks to the brain and has the power to impact everything, from our wellbeing to our mood and even our immune system.
Plant points
That’s why it’s so important to look after it, and there’s nothing simpler (or more delicious!) than doing so with food. One easy way to love your gut is by consuming a variety of plant foods to make up a total of “30 plant points” a week. “Plant points” are a way to track the number of plant-based foods you eat. This includes fruits, veggies, wholegrains, legumes, herbs, spices, nuts and seeds, all which can help to feed your gut bacteria, as well as fermented foods.
The greater the variety of foods we eat, the greater the diversity of good bacteria our gut can support. This in turn can help with other issues such as sleep, stress, mood and our overall health.
The good news is that, thanks to Love Your Gut Week and author and writer Dr Joan Ransley, it couldn’t be easier to add that variety to your diet and increase your plant points to reach that target of 30-a-week. They have teamed up to create six new simple, scrumptious recipes that will not only help feed your gut but support your overall wellbeing too.
